Originating from trail biking, BMX belongs to the genre of mountain bicycle racing. BMX’s origin is associated with the era of the 1970s in Southern California where teenagers used to ride dirt bikes in an attempt to copy the adult bike racing. As time passed, it gained popularity among people belonging to other age groups as well. It was in the 1980s that BMX had become equally popular among adults as it had among kids.
The races in BMX are mostly one-lap races on a short distance. The tracks of the races consist of a gated starting point. As the bikers move along the racing track, they encounter various ridge and valley lines full of dirt. Coupled with some rigorous jumps, the track usually ends with a finish line banner. The corners of the curves on track are usually banked in order to provide riders with the necessary balance and control on the bike at high speeds.
Mellow Park, Berlin
Covering approximately an area of more than 60,000 square meters, Mellow Park is an enormous rig for BMX bikers. While providing many more categories of sports such as basketball and skateboarding, this park provides some amazing opportunities for sports-related activities. Its dirt bike tracks comprise extremely exciting dirt ramps and tunnels making it a thrilling joy dirt bike ride for BMX riders.
La Fenasosa, Spain
Located in a rather remote area but still lying on the outskirts of Alicante (Valencia), La Fenasosa belongs to a true sort of cross-country track that provides realistic biking experience. The park is located at extreme elevation due to which trucks and pickups take the bikers from there pickup point towards the track. Once the bikers reach their destination, the true thrilling experience of bikers starts by descending from one of the ten available trails. However, one needs to be careful while descending on it as this track is more suitable for expert biker riders.
Adrenaline BMX Park, Corby
In the UK, Adrenaline BMX Park is among some of the best BMX bike trails offering its high riding quality. The park comprises of various stretched of track and a bowl which is ideal for BMX riders to show -off and practice their stunts. Another unique feature of this track is a big vertical wall known as “Great Wall of Corby” where riders are able to make some unique maneuvering stunts and high jumps.
Opened in 2017, Kasina is a newbie in a list of trail biking tracks. It is popular among BMX riders due to its newness. It comprises 9 different trails as of now although some new ones are expected to be built in the future.
Olympic BMX Track, London
Regarded as one of the most difficult biking tracks, the Olympic BMX track was inaugurated in 2012. Mainly it is famous for its complex biking track comprising of a sharp S-curve, some long jumps, and straight stretch of track towards the end. An added 8 meters high ramp further adds to the joy and thrill of riding BMX on this track.
